I have a 1999 tahoe. It shuttered for about 3 weeks, then one day it shuttered about 4 times and died.
Since then I have changed the cam sesnor, crank sensor temp sensor, scanned it numerous times, and connot get it to fire or run.
I am baffled and would love to know if any else has had this problem and if there is a soultion.
I have even called GM Factory reps that have told me when i get the naswer to let them know.
I hope someone out there knows the answer.
Thanks

Doubt this could be the same exact problem, but it could be a wire grounding out somewhere. I have a 99 Tahoe that I bought back in September. I went on a long trip with it in October and while traveling down the interstate the truck would start to cut out. The tachometer would jump all over the place wildly. It died a couple of times and I coasted over to the side of the interstate and after a couple minutes of cranking, the truck would start. I would get a couple minutes down the road and it would do the same thing again. Well, I finally got to a good sized town with a Chevy dealer. To make a long story short, it turns out that a wiring harness was up against the exhaust manifold and eventually the harness burned through and the crank sense(I think thats what the mechanic told me) wire was grounding out on the manifold. I know it was a yellow wire. He spliced in a new piece of wire and I was on my way. I have no idea how the harness got out of place as I ahd only had the truck about a month. The harness runs down the right side of the truck(passenger side). Look to the left of the engine and you should see a harness bolted down to the frame. I highly doubt you have the exact same problem with the harness up against the exhaust manifold but you might wanna inspect for some faulty wiring somewhere. Hope this helps!!!!
