help i need power

i have recently purchased a 1994 geo prizm it has an odd configuration i have not heard of on a prizm such as over-drive and an odd motor it is a 1.8 16v DOHC L4 will go into details on motor if some one can help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 i need peformance upgrades :banghead:

also i keep hearing people talk bout using corrola stuff on prisms..... will this work on older models like my 93 or is that only for the newer ones?

If you want to find performance parts you'll have more luck if you search for engine parts for the 93-97 Toyota Corollas. They share the same 1.8L engine. You may have to do some modifications to the parts because of the different engine bay designs. i've got a 95 prizm with the 1.6 engine.

if you have enough cash and know enough about how to put in an engine, you could always swap an engine from a toyota. There are a few engines that will fit in a corolla that in theory should also fit in to your prizm. I plan to drop a 3s-gte engine pushing stock about 230HP into mine and replace my transmission as well. The engine comes from a few different early 90s and late 80s MR2s and Celica's. This will cost me close to $2000 doing it my self. It would probably cost a lot more to hire someone else so this might be the wrong solution for you.
