Durch die extreme Höhe der Locations, welche an der Dienstgipfelhöhe üblicher Helikopter lag, musste das Fluggerät höchste Leistung erbringen können, ebenso wie auch die Anforderungen an die Piloten höchste Leistung und Erfahrung bedingten. Die passende Flugcrew mitsamt entsprechendem Helikopter fand sich in Santiago de Chile, allerdings benötigte diese 7 Flugstunden allein zum Einfliegen. Spezielle Kamerariggs für den Helikopter mussten aus Miami herbeigeschafft werden. Weiterhin auf der komplexen Equipmentliste: u. A. Kameratrackingsysteme, Car Riggs für die Lamborghinis, fernsteuerbare Kransysteme mit Kameraremote.... und da man sozusagen am Ende der Welt drehte, erforderte die Produktion Backupsysteme für die gesamte Kameratechnik, um eventuellen technischen Defekten gerüstet entgegentreten zu können.
In Überlegungen wurde auch ein Dreh auf HighDefinition angedacht. Aufgrund der Anforderungen der Ästehtik des Filmes wurde diese Option dann jedoch nicht genutzt : Große Strecken des Filmes würden überdreht, mit mehr als 25 Aufnahmen pro Sekunde geschossen, um noch mehr Freiraum in der Dynamik der Shots zu gewinnen. Ein weiterer Aspekt war die Notwendigkeit, ggf. mit Ersatzkameras technische Ausfälle am Equipment sofort lösen zu können und so kamen schlussendlich die Arri 435 und Reserve-Arris zum Einsatz. HD-Kameras stellen heute für einige klassische Filmaufgaben durchaus eine interessante Alternative dar, sind jedoch kein Grund Kompromisse wie bspw. den Verzicht auf überdrehtes Bildmaterial einzugehen. Für den herausfordernden Look "schwarz auf schwarz" in extremen Lichtverhältnissen blieb somit der klassische 35mm Film das Medium der Wahl.
Da mystischer Character und Atmosphäre des Filmes das Drehen während Sonnenuntergang und Dämmerung in einem sehr knappen Zeitrahmen erforderten, wurden die einzelnen Shots komplett vorbereitet. Jeder Shot wurde durch GPS ermittelt und definiert, die genauen Zeiten des Drehens für jeden Shot und der entsprechenden Location, exakt vorbestimmt. Die Locations wurden vor dem Dreh aufbereitet und die Caractions aufwendig geübt, so dass jedes Mitglied der Crew sobald das Licht richtig war, genau wusste, was es zu tun hatte. „Auf diese Weise ermöglichten wir es, dass jeweils bis zu 10 Shots in der Morgen- und Abenddämmerung gedreht werden konnten. Der gewünschte "noir"-Stil des Film bedingte diese hochgradig disziplinierte Arbeitsweise", erklärt Jacques Steyn, Kameramann und Co-Regisseur.
An manchen Locations, wie beispielsweise dem Tatio Geysir oder am Paso de Jamo, dauerte es bis zu 7 Stunden, die Lamborghinis (und zusätzliche Fahrzeuge) mit 4-rad getriebenen Flachbettladern in den Krater eines Vulkanes oder das Tal des "Valley of the Monks" zu befördern. Techniker und Ingenieure von Lamborghini betreuten den Dreh, aber die beiden Lamborghinis trotzten den extremen Höhen- und Temperaturbedingungen.
Das wolkenlose Wetter bedeutete nicht einfache Arbeitsbedingungen. In einer Wüste 4000 bis 5000 Meter über Meeresspiegel zu drehen, bedeutete extreme bis feindliche Wetterbedingungen. Temperaturen um die -15 Grad Celsius vor Sonnenaufgang und stürmische Windböen machten das Filmen abenteuerlich. Auch der Sauerstoffmangel war ein Problem: Mehrere Crewmitglieder litten an "pluna", hatten schwere Kopfschmerzen, Konzentrationsschwierigkeiten oder wurden durch die hohe physische Belastung einfach ohnmächtig, obwohl die Crew puren Sauerstoff bei sich hatte, um diesen Belastungen entgegenzuwirken."

Hi, I am new here. I am looking for some videos of Diablo SE30/Jota and Diablo GT. I have only found presentation video of Diablo SE30 and two videos of Diablo GT on Modena Cars. I am looking for some test drive videos of Diablo GT. And I am looking very long for official video of Diablo SE30/Jota. In this video you can see these cars driving on oval track and SE30 in slide. If somebody of you know german tv DSF and saw first presentation of Murcielago in Motorvision before a year, there at the start was part from that video. You can see SE30 accelerating from the camera, SE30 and SE30 Jota driving like on slalom and on oval track, and SE30 in slide. That is video, that I am looking for. I have recorded this on VHS, but I am looking for complete video. I think, that it is something like that official Murcielago video.

is there a press folder of the se 30 jota?

Here is a short clip of a Diablo I saw at the local Italian show and shine this last summer. It had a "sports exhaust" and could be heard a mile down the road after he left the show ground.

I did, it was taken at the local Italian owners club meeting. My friend and I are into Italian cars and bikes, I learned to drive in a Fiat !!!

My friend has two old Lambo Espada`s. They are superb old style Gand Tourers, four seats and a big V12 up front. One is a Series 1 with the magnesium knock off wheels and a single distributor six weber motor, the other is a Series 3 with the twin distibutor V12 but still on weber carbs. The engines are engineering masterpieces. The internals such as the conrods and cranks are works of art, each conrod and piston are beautifully machined with the weights engraved on each part. The cranks almost look as if they were machines out of solid billets. Not bad for a man that started out making tractors.

The series 1 is almost finished and he hopes to have it up and running this summer, I will try and get some pictures the next time I am down at his place.
