Can you paint a carbon fiber hood. Everytime I see one, it will be the standard black color. Someone told me the paint would slide right off of the carbon fiber. But just today i saw a carbon fiber hood painted silver. You could even see in a higher resolution that it was a carbon fiber hood. Im just making sure this isnt a sticker or somthing. If it was some type of paint....what kinda, thnx.

yes you can paint a carbon hood, lots of people use a thin paint layer so u can see the color but the carbon weave pattern shows through, or it can be completely painted.

Sounds like there is a chance of ruining it (if not preparing righ). Would it be bad idea unless you give it to the pro's. I wanna do it myself.

Test it on the underside of the hood.

Test it on the underside of the hood.
Unless the underside is fiberglass, like so many of them are!
