please need some help with my 944

hey guys i will apreciate it if can help me.
i just bought a 83 944 from a women, with only 57000miles on it, the car is immaculate in and out. but it has been sitting for 1year. i bought a new battery, but the car does not start. all the fuses are good, when i put the key, everything inside works but when i try to start it nothing happens, a little click and that s it. iam guessing stater, or fuel pump or ,,,i have no clue. please if u have been through something like this, inform me. iwill appreciate it so much

Ok well if the engine is not turning at all these may be your problems,

1 Battery connections loose or corroded
2 battery discharged or faluty
3 Clutch not completly depressed
4 Broken, loose, or disconnected wire in the starting circut
5 starter motor pinion jammed in the flywheel ring gear
6 starter solinoid faulty
7 starter motor faulty
8 Ingition switch faulty

If all the lights come one when the key is in the ignition and you get a click that rules out 1, 2 and 8.
I dont think it is the fuel pump because even if it is broken the engine will at least turn over but wont start.

Go through that list of things that i listed and check them all. Should cover the problem. Start witht the easiest too.
