19's on a 2000 civic

Can I Put 19x7.5 On My 2000 Civic. My Civic Has Air Bags. Can Someone Just Let Me Know If It Will Work.

seriously though...anything above 17's on a civic should be strictly for show cars only.

you can but your car would be slow as hell off the line and stop like crap unless you upgrade to a big brake setup.

the biggest wheel you can go with on a civic are 18's. you have to install rear trailing arms off of an accord if you want 19's or bigger. with bags you might have a little more room, but youd be better off putting different trailing arms onto it. trust me.

19"s? i think its possible. but why go with that size? its too big. plus your ride is going to be bumpy, ride quality wont be that good. the biggest id go with is probably 15"s or 16"s.

I don't want to go past 15, maybe even 16, with my car. 17 for me is strictly for show, and I can't even imagine what 19s would do.

Besides, carefully read the posts above yours....it was said it is possible to do...along with a few suggestions as to what might need to be done to make it work better. His question was answered by about half the responses, so he did get an answer, people just decided to through in their opinion on his idea as well.

My friend just put on 19x7 arospeed rims last week along with the "space ship wannabee" wings west wide body GSR 9 piece kit on his 96-98 civic hatchback. He has not lowered it yet and he has made no modifications to the front and rear arches (fenders).He also has not put on hub spacers yet. From what he has told me, the car rubs against the back rear arches when there are more than 2 people in the car and he has lost full steering turn. It looks pretty wild with the wide body kit, but he says he has to brake very early and its slow as hell to get the car going from a stationary position. So from my recent friends' experience it can be done. Oh i forgot, the car is also his daily driver and he does not intend to enter it in show competitions! :screwy: personally i don't think i could cope with driving a lead weight around to work everyday but he likes the attention :rolleyes: hope this helps

I just wish that Civics came with 5 lug wheel mounts because 5 lugs gives you a lot better selection (both in quality and quantity) in custom rims for your car - that's why the Acura RSX's are now 5 lugs - it's about time Honda followed suit.

19s would have some serious rubbing issues, and would probably mess up your camber too, but I suppose it could be done...Ive seen 19s on a few civics.

Incase anyone wants to see what it looks like, i've just come back from taking a few digi shots of my friends civic on 19x7s. There have been no suspension modifications done to at all.

Those are entirly too big, IMO. Why would you want go any bigger than 18's? That's my point of view.

earth to dumbass, BBS has long made magnesium ALLOYS in small sizes and 4-lug patterns. i personally have a set of 14" classic crosshatch pattern BBS magnesium alloys just waiting painted and to get good rubber.
