Can anyone help me? I have a 1993 Acura Integra 1.8 with auto trans. When the car is really cold in the morning and I just drive it for a few blocks I am unable to remove the key once it is in park. I usually have to wait 15 min until the car warms up to remove it. I did some investigating & traced some wires to a brown box the size of a deck of cards under the dash in the middle (behind the radio). The box is labeled "MITSUBA INTER LOCK CONTROL 12V RK - 0202". I now realized that when I disconnect this box the key comes right out! Could this module be defective? I get the impression that this box does not allow the key to be removed when the trans is in drive or reverse. Maybe it is preventing the key to be comming out when the trans is in park by sending a false signal? Has anyone ever heard of this or have had any problem like this before? Anyones help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Healer,
I've got the same problem with my '92 Integra GS 3dr. Did you ever get a solution ? I'm not sure if it's the interlock control module or the auto gearshift linkage, or possibly a switch that tells the interlock control module that the car is in park.
Thanks much,
Ntegra

I had the same problem on a 90 integra. The problem was the switch. I took the switch apart, cleaned and regreased it. Good luck.
