So, the gain with a d15b2 is that it's MPFI? I don't understand why you wouldn't swap for at least a d16a6...

Looks nice though.

this is exactly what happend, i had the 8 valve hf motor yea a whole 62 hp is it? well the guy who did all the work for me was just gonna put a 16 valve head on for me, but when he got down to it, the pistons weren't cut out for it, so he just threw in his motor out of his dx, (he's got a dohc zc now) he did the swap for free, so i was like hell yea, i didn't complain...all i did was pay $100 for the head (that we didnt use) and like another $100 for labor...that's why I didn't swap anything else in there..but now I do want to swap it sometime in the future..which is the best bolt in? I know this has been asked a billion times...but is it the d16y6 or z6? and i don't need anything else it's a direct bolt in eh?

The d16z6 is SOHC VTEC from 92-95, and the d16y8 is SOHC VTEC from 96-2000 I think... Both are direct bolt-ins, and all you would need is an ECU, and a Dizzy (and if you use the y8, you'd probably want to get a wiring harness adapater too).

Ok so the easiest is the d16z6 then. Is there any advantage/disadvantage to just doing the mini-me head swap?
