Hey, I know this doesn't relate to street racing, but this is the forum I usually visit and I know there are many knowledgeable people in here. So, on I go.
Ok, a few days ago my car has started to hesitate while on the throttle usually only in second gear; however, just today I noticed it has started occuring much more often and in most of the gears. Its hard to explain what it feels like, I hope it doesn't have anything to do with the clutch and hope it just needs fuel injector cleaning? I don't have enough money to have trouble with my clutch... please respond. Thanks in advance.

Well Ive had a neon do that to me as well. But It was alot worce. My first guess would be the fuel pump. Then spark plugs, wires, injectors, bad fuel etc. But if its hesitating it sounds like some sort of fuel problem.

Run some Injector cleaner through the tank Chemtool-12 I think is the name or something like that. If that doesn't work then it's probably the Fuel pump. I wouldn't think it is the plug wires or anything to do with the spark but might as well check all of that too.

i had a similar problem with my carburated 83 civic and it turned out that it was not spark or fuel but it was just not getting enough air so i did some playing around with the intake and its no problem. not sure it this would be the case with a fi engine tho

change your airfliter or clean it, run the injector cleaner even tho i doubt it does anything

I'll try running some of that fuel injector cleaner through my tank. I doubt its the air filter, I got a new one about 20k ago. My PCV valve is pretty gummed, so that may be it. Thanks for all the advice guys.
