transmission

My brother owns a 1995 Eclipse 5 speed and has had nothing but problems with it!! Question: What would make the transmission
grind and stop when you push the clutch in? Does anyone know why
or have this same problem?

not pushing the clutch all the wayu in ????
getta new clutch an if its still grinding get the tranny rebuilt
cuz i had the same trouble when i had a 92 talon for a day, all it was needed was a new clutch

I'll put 3 Hienekens on the Throwout bearing. Only 30 bucks, but you have to drop the tranny to get to it. Have a good mechanic take a listen. This is common to all cars, so if its the TOB he'll know. Thats if he doesnt try to sell you a 1500 dollar tranny swap instaed ;) You get the idea...
