Wheel weight?

Does anyone know the exact weight of the stock aluminum wheels on the 95-99 Auroras? I am looking at a set of 19s and I'm hoping that they are lighter.
Also, has anyone tried slotted and crossdrilled rotors on the Aurora? If so, how did they work out?

19's won't clear the coil spring base, even with 40 series rubber. Don't know how much the bare stock rims weigh. I plan on getting slotted rotors and ceramic pads soon. Cross drilling is only beneficial in the most extreme high heat applications, like autocross racing, and in my opinion is not worth the risk of cracking or the extra cost.

If the 19s won't clear then why are there Auroras with 20s?

Max overall diameter is right around 27". So the height is not the problem, it's finding a wheel manufacturer that makes the 19" or 20" with no more than 7.5" width and a large offset, or the other way around. Most of the big rims are 8"&9" wide and that's where you start to get tire rub on the lower spring cup. It may be possible, but I would make sure and buy at a shop that is willing to trial fit for you so your not stuck with a set of special order rims that don't fit.

I have Power Stop X-drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads on my 97 Aurora and love them. Brakewarehouse.com has some good prices and it's very easy to use. I installed both sides of the front, by myself in less than an hour.

Go 20" X 8.5". 255/35/zr20. Falken 115 Is Good With 360 Treadwear Rating. Check Cardomain.com. Several Auroras With 20's. Best Way To Get Down Is To Bag It. You Can Also Lower It With Springs Though Only Goes Down About 1.5" And Is About $500. I'd Rather Bag It With Minimal Adjustment, Keeping Nice Ride. Air Strut. Also Check Aeroturbine.com . I've Added These And Will Now Go With 2.5" Tube Cat Back With Resonator. Also Check Domesticperformance.com.
