My 1996 Sephia makes noise that comes from the front of the car after accelerating to 35MPH and above. Sound sort of like a knocking or when a tire is loose. When you let off the gas the noise stops. It also gets louder the faster you go. Any ideas? Thank You.

I had a similar problem on my 2000 Sephia and found out that it was the transmission making the noise, especially when accelerating over 35 MPH. Apparently the noise is called the spider gear inside and knocks like a rod or even your cv joint. They replaced the tranny and all is fine now with it. This is merely a suggestion as to what it could be, yours may be different, hope this helps!

I definitly wouldn't waste money on a new tranny. But that may not be your problem.
if I was in this situation, I would just buy a honda/toyota.
