High WarmUp Idle
GTA

On my z6 swap, when its first started in the morning or after sitting long enough to cool it warms up at 3000-3500 rpms. Once it fully warms up it will idle somewhere around 700-1k. Is this warmup rpm normal? or is something not functioning properly? im getting a code 9 (no 1 cyl postion sensor) but it seems to run fine. maybe that is what is causing the high idle?
TIA

That sounds high to me. I think it's supposed to be somewhere around 2k.

Mine has been the same was since i did the mpfi swap a couple months ago. I cant figure out what is wrong with it, but it runs fine and I'm not getting any codes. Its just really annoying.

That is very high for a cold idle.
Check the wiring/vacuum connections @ the EACV & Fast idle control valve. Since you have a code 9, the distributor could be bad.

When I first turn my car on and its cold it idles at around 2,000rpm also...but then after it warms up it goes down to around 1,000rpm. I dont like the way it drives and/or feels when it idles so high when in neutral.

Looks like this is a common problem.
I agree, its really annoying to have it idleing so high when you are just sitting there after it has warmed up.
