Newbie

Ok im getting a 1987 crx si. I was looking at what engines i could get the ones im thinking about are the B16A1, B16A2 or possibly the H22A. Now would the H22A fit in the engine bay or is it to big? This is going to be my first honda n second car I currently have a mitsubishi galant, but due to the difficulty, time, lack of money, and lack of aftermarketsupport im going with a honda.

the weight of the H22a would give you some serious handling issues.

So would the B16A2 have the mounts located at the same position?

B16a2 should just drop right in and i would get the b16a2 swap the cams swap the pistons and go on from there and the h22a is too big and will add alot of weight.

Well i brought it home friday afternoon.How do you get the spark plugs out of there? A thin walled socket? Cuz i was trying wiht a regular one n it didnt seem to get hold of the sparkplug (yes it's the right size socket)

you probally out to look at getting a spark plug sockt, its pretty much the same except longer and maybe narrower and also has a little ruber ring inside to grab the plug to lift it out. i do not remember having too much troubble with my bro's 89 crx but a long socket and needle nose plires should do it too

I am using a spark plug socket. But i c like curvrs coming up around the spark plug n thats proble blocking it. Wait... unless thats just a mani cover??
