first time poster here. nice board.
i got a couple problems and i was wondering if somone could trouble shoot for me. i have a 93 auto v6 with 130,000 on it. for about 5 or 6 months now it has been bogging when it's wet out side. at stoplights and when i go to speed up. when it shifts gears sometimes it feels like it's slipping. today it felt like there was a problem with the backend when i got on the highway like something was slipping back there(today it wasn't raining. any suggestions? do you need any more info? any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

as far as wet weather, do you have a cold air box that is routed to the bottom of the front end? those are known for picking up the water from the road, soaking and either flowing less air, or worse, transmittin that water up the ducting into the engine and causing hydro lock. locking up the engine with water. as far as the trans, when was the last rebuild? or service, it might be time to have it pulled and new clutchpacks put in. at 130,000 miles, you sound about due. as far as the rear end, testing that out comes down to pulling off the rear cover and using a dial guage to test all the specs, and see if something is out of place or spec.

no prob, sorry to be the bearrer of bad news :( and one last tip, if you dont know exactly what your doing with the rear end, leave it alone, or get someone who does know what they are doing to look over your shoulder. its really not that hard, just very sensitive, and a major pain in the ass when something goes wrong, trust me i know from experience. also i was thinking about the wet weather, if im correct, you have a MAF (mass air flow) intake system, see if your screen is intact on the side to the atmosphere, if its damaged or all together gone, the humididty from the rain, may be altering the signal from the MAF, which relies on a heated wire to determine the airflow into the engine, and then give the correct ammount of fuel, if water is cooling the wire faster than usual, the computer will think there is more air coming in than there is, and will run a mixture that is too rich, causing poor running of the engine. its just a guess, and cant really tell you how that would be happening, but i happend to think of it. have fun with the project :)
