Vibration

Hi

My ford taurus 1994 Model sedan vibrates in the front right side (Passenger side) of the car while driving in the highway at spped of around 110Kmph, It reduces vibration at around 120. This happens very often and there are times at 110 it never happens.

If you have any suggestions please let me know. I have taken the car to some local mechanics who have said there is nothing wrong with the car.

Thanks
Harold

You could start by having the tires balanced. You may have lost a wheel weight.

Should I balance all the tires or just the one side ? I have rotated the tires and yet the problem occurs.

Thanks
Harold

If you have rotated the tire, but the problem seems to stay in the same spot, I would start to doubt the balance thing. It would most likely be in the suspension or steering. Is it a steering wheel vibration? If so possibly tie rod ends. A vibration from the corner itself, think along the lines of struts on wheel bearing. If there is noise, like growling, on turns, most likely wheel bearing.

HI

The steering wheel does not vibrate. Its just the right side of the car on the passenger side in front that vibrates.
I got the struts tested and was told its in good shape.
Will be trying out what you have instructed during the weekend.

THanks
Harold
