Loudest Muffler??

In yalls Opinion what is the loudest muffler???

No muffler at all - straight pipe.

well, no muffler wouldn't be the loudest MUFFLER.

ok how about when you have a muffler, but the piping has rusted so the muffler is no longer connected to the exhaust system? ($150 fix at walts)

Loudest and nastiest sounding would have to go the Pace Setter exhaust.

you want it loud? get 2.5 inch piping (stainless is best) have a muffler shop that has a pipe bender that wont pinch the tube bend it to fit, put a Dynomax "bullet" muffler in the place where the factory silencer was... then go out and have the cops pull you over

alright yes many times a car without a mufler is loud but i know of atleast one where the str8 pipe(w/o cats) was more refined and quieter than a magnaflow (w/ cats ) these setups both on bmw E30's so i dunno for all cars?! but i know what i heard!!!!!! :eek7:

I'll never get why people think they have to have the loudest car in town that can be heard blocks away. That should only be up to cars like the '67 A/C Cobra that resides a few houses down from me. :banghead: :disappoin

I'd have to go and say most N1 type mufflers are quite loud. But the MagnaFlow set up is pretty loud too. I knew a guy that had the Magnaflow that's made for 5.0 Mustangs welded to the exhaust piping of his '89 Accord and i also saw his ass get pulled over for it too. I literally watched a cop pull him over for it. Quite sad, but interesting idea on his part.

I just like to get the cops going, lol, they get pissed over stupid reasons when they should be bustin crackheads and shits and not pulling over US for mufflers, still what is the loudest?? :) I got skunk 2 cat back

I got pulled over once for loud exhaust on my old bike. That mofo was loud as hell w/ the drag pipe(open header w. 1' long pipe) Loud exhaust does not impress me(low powered 4-banger is the worst), the only time its impressive is when there is a built engine making that noise, not some stock junk. You should have been @ the shop when we broke-in a mildly built olds 455 w/ open headers - that thing ran @ 2,000RPM's for 15-20 min, then a bunch of 4,000RPM hits. Talk about a fuckin' headache . . .

yeah, why is it that Hells Angel type dudes can have loud ass exhusts on their harleys and our parents can have loud ass mufflers on like their 70 mustang, and the cops turn the other way :( :( :( I got pulled over 4 times in one day LOL

The cops around here a pretty hard on crotch rockets/loud exhaust. Harley's guys are loud as fuck @ never get pulled over, that pisses me off. Same goes for cars, whos the cops gonna pull over, 72 chevelle or 96 civic both with loud ass exhausts? One of my buddies got a ticket for loud exhaust and he wasn't even on the bike - cop checked the exhaust for a db rating, there was none because it was a race pipe:grinno: I was ridin' w/ the drag pipe almost the whole summer before I got hit for loud exhaust, that shit was so loud my right ear would get sore after a while:eek7: I miss having bike, car are too damn slow.

the worst is the older cops like "Officer Balls, or Officer Brundage" the younger ones dont really care, and the female ones, ohh they love those cars LOL

if you really think about it, how many times a year do you think people with Harleys etc. actually bring their bikes out to ride. More than anything I bet it's just the cops cutting them some slack. On the other hand, people who drive cars with loud ass exhausts are probably out driving their car everyday which really is a nuisance to some people, so they get busted for it.

Probably cuz the guy on the bike isn't driving like an asshole.

Well, instead of trying make the cops mad how about doing me a favor and just keeping it quiet please. At least the older cars and most of the bikes have more bass to it and can sound pretty cool. Most of the imports sound like a lot of pissed off bumble bees
