Seen it on 2 fast 2 furious. i have the idea, of installing a spark plug on the back, then a coil. just can't think of anything which cuts the primary circuit of the coil to produce sparks... any suggestions? :screwy:

why do you people come here and shoot down ideas?
why not just give an answer?
hot rods have done it forever.
there are kits available to put an extra spark plug in your exhaust.
why don't you just build a car that's so ballsy that it shoots flames on its own? theres a thought...

I agree would be cool but not very realistic a car with that much power would cost a so much.
:smokin:Know this could

are you serious?
a car with that much power is unlikely.
do you know what kind of power it takes?
not as much as you're dreaming about.
if i were to spend some time and tune my car, i can. and i'm not some 500hp giant.

did i say that THAT SPECIFIC CAR WAS 500HP?
i said that my car, MINE (the one that I drive) is not a 500 hp car, but could still be tuned to shoot flames out the exhaust.
i'm glad you know what an 8 second car is.
and i'm sure that it shoots flames out the exhaust. what's your point?
don't play with numbers when i have no idea...
you really shouldn't be posting in the skyline forum, considering you have no idea what's going on with 90% of the topics here, huh?
take your own medicine.

i know there are kits to do it, I KNOW. spark plug in the exhaust pipe, connected to a switch. some unburnt fuel (i forgot this part) somewhere, connected to the same switch. you press the switch, something sends unburnt fuel into the manifold or something, and it also activates the spark plug, and flames shoot out. see? what i want to know is how do you do it WITHOUT A KIT.
do you tune it really rich and run the boost really hard?

exactly. it's not that hard depending on what your car's got done.
and it's not a backfire. backfires go through the motor and back out the intake. not good stuff.
all that the flame is from is the excess fuel in the exhaust gas (which is generally running rich when you let off the gas) getting burnt when it's in the exhaust system.
it's not the same when your foot is in it (more air "diluting" the mixture), so you don't have flames all the time

Switch, relay, coil, and a sparkplug.
Tap fuel line to an injector, and boom. We have fire. Of course the injector will need power, but no biggy.
Carbs a lot easier to do, but we do not have that ability;)

Kits and sparkplugs are for suckers.
Mine runs a bit under 500hp - and I shoot flames. Upshift, downshift, coasting... doesn't really matter.
As stated - tune your car to run rich with no cat. Flame-on!

That looks like a blow torch. I am talking a flame. Like the old timers back in the 50s. 15 to 20 feet long, not 2-5ft. ;)

old school uses a spark plug for the flames, so you get super long ones...
new school uses real power to make the flames... ;)
