BMW 325es Radio Removal/Installation

Hi, I recently purchased a 1986 BMW 325es. I am replacing the radio with a new one and have become lost.
I can't figure out what wire does what.
Not including the speaker wires which i have allready identified, there are 9 wires that come out from the dash of the car;
Red(x2)
White(x2)
Violet/Grey
Grey/Red
Red/Green
Brown/Black(x2)
I am confused as to their purpose. I have used a DMM to check for voltage levels but have found that there is no voltage on any of the wires. I bought a manual with wiring diagrams, but too there are too many differences in wire colors and components. I just became more lost.
If you can help me by telling me what any of these wires do, I would appreciate the help.
