Cruise Control-less!

1988 Wagoneer (Cherokee) One day the cruise cruised, the next not.
Seems to be holding vacuum at the acuator in the engine comp. Everything seems to be connected. Is there a fuse somewhere? How do I check the switch? Thanks for any suggestions.

I had a similar problem with my 96 Cherokee. In a 96 the cruse unit is on the bottom of the steering wheel I went to a local junk ward and pulled one off of an 93 which I think only cost me about 10 bucks. But before I swapped them I took compressed air and Contax cleaner in behind the button and I haven' had a problem sense.
