Class,
Just purchased 91 si. When I picked it up it had some water in the trunk. The seller said she never noticed it but her Accord did that because of clogged sunroof drains. Great, Easy fix? NO! I cleaned the drains only to find out the taillight gaskets were shot. No big deal $30 bucks each at dealer. Now I noticed that when it rains, water accumulates behind the drivers seat. I've searched for similar posts but nobody has given a straight answer on the topic? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

run a hose over the whole car for about 20 min....see if you see any leaking....also check the floor boards....make sure there are no rust holes in it that are causing leakage.

sorry to bring back an old thread, but im having the same problem with water accumulating behind the driver's side seat. I'm desperate to find a solution since i live in the northwest and its rainy here 10 months out of the year. I just cleaned out the whole sunroof assembly and checked sunroof drains but still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Check the seals around the doors and rear windows (the ones that pop out). There really isn't any other place the water could be coming from.

Ok I have seen this with a buddys car what actully happened in his case was the rubber seal on the top of his cars leaked thru. It rusted under the rubber seal and caused a hole that then ran down the pillar and into the carpet making a wet spot on his carpet. Fix was to pull all the rust out of the area tac in some sheet metal and then he bondo'd the rain gutters to make them smooth.

another thing u can check as it happened to my crx's. that black trim at the very top of the hatch sometimes leaks through the window sealant. i just threw some clear silicon selant and that stopped my leaks.
