a8000t or a8002t. I don't like rockford amps and I have heard great things from audiobahn amps. I can get you one of those for about 200 shipped. Also you should look into avionixx, a little bit more on the cost like 40 dollars more, but whole lot better power

I did a install for a buddy about a month ago. He had the rockford fosgate punch 600 and one Sony 12" 4-Ohm Subwoofer with P5-Series Pentagonal Cone. Anyway that amp works good\fair for the one 12".
IMO rockford fosgate has gone down hill BIG TIME in the last 2 years  It gets REAL HOT fast. I mounted it on the back of the fold down rear seat & used rubber spacers to raise it up about 1\4" for better cooling. Yet it still runs way to hot for my taste.
I wouldnt spend the money for the rockford. I just cant see it lasting very long with as hot as they run :angryfire

Which is why I suggest the DEI, audiobahn has some good power, but I bet you will get a cleaner louder sound out of the dei 1100d amp.

where can i find these kind of amps. like a reliable website? thanks for the help, what brand is dei?
GSteg

www.dei.com is the site of the company.
DEI stands for Directed Electronic Inc.
its one of the most reliable brand out there. widely used in competitions. nate munson had 4 of the 1100d amps to his single Digital designs 9515 to capture his world record. of course installation plays a big role, but these amps hardly get hot at all.
here is the one i'm selling:
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/DEI1100D
basically brand new. i have pictures too. the newer models look different, but virtually everything is the same as far as power, reliability, etc. sturdy amps.

The newer ones are also much more expensive, but preform exactly the same. Tell us what you think with your 2 cvrs hooked up like this, also what are the rms ratings and are they svc or dvc 2 or 4 ohm speakers?
likitea

they are 4 ohm independent and put out 400 rms each, would ur amp power it

does directed audio also make good subs, what is the best system i can get for 500 dollars
Haibane

First off subs don't put out power, secondly it is would your subs handle the amp. the amp will do 1100 at 1 ohm, if you tune down the fader till their is no distortion, the subs should do fine. 2 4 ohm DVCs can be wired at 1ohm on that amp, if they are DVC, meaning dual voice coil.

is the wirring difficult, i am planning on having it installed at a local stereo store. i only have 500 dollars to spend on this, total, that means a sub or two, a box and an amp, now what can i get for that
GSteg

so you have (2) subs. each is a Single voice coil 4ohm. that means u can wire the sub in parallel and get a total of 2ohm. the dei puts out 750x1@2ohm. its a tad bit underrated so you'll see it very close to 800 watts. that should be enough for those 2 subs, seeing each will get about 375-400 watts.
of course providing "independent" means svc if thats what you mean.

I'll let Gsteg help you I have to work on my comp. I would suggest going with the elmental o series subs if you can only spend 500 and getting that amp off gsteg, also get a sealed box since it is cheaper than ported, unless you can get a cheap ported box off of www.originalcustoms.com (http://www.originalcustoms.com)

that amp puts out 750 watts is what i think is read and he is selling it for 225 so that means you have about 275 for a sub, for that you should look here:
