yeah, there's a guy over in the 92+ civic forum that's doing this right now on his early 90s civic lx, but he ran into a couple problems. I think it should work if you know what you're doing and that's right, you can't beat the price. :)

As long as you know how to do it and you have the ability to do it the price is unbeatable.

I'm looking into doing this on my 96 accord ex. just a few questions b4 i attempt this. first of all has anyone done this b4 and did it work or not in an accord? 2nd should i go for the 3'' piping since i have a bit larger engine or should i stick w/ the 2.5? 3rd in looking at my intake setup i didnt notice another small tube for the temp valve but underneath my intake i have a larger hole maybe 1.5 inches in diameter that sems to connet to another larger tube (when i say larger i mean it's larger than the tube that connects to the throttle body and it kind looks like another mini intake). could this be the temp gauge. and 4th if i'm correct in looking at this will i have to remove my bumper to change my air filter??? thanx for the help i hope to do this soon and i'll tell everyone how it worked out and if i discover many difference i'll post em up for nyone intrested in doing this on an accord.

Check this page out. It shows the same pipes that the CAI uses.

The link I posted shows the same pipes which you buy from JC Witney that the DIY CAI link did. Just use that as a guide and it should work fine.

Me and my friends installed cold air intakes on their 3000GT and a Civic EX. They just bought the filters (K&N) from an auto shop and we got the rest of the parts we needed from Home Depot. First we took off the stock intake and got our piping and elbows curved in the right way to weave down to the bumper. Then we marked the piping and pulled it out of the engine so we could use self drilling screws to hold it all together. Then we sealed up the seams and used high temp exhaust paint to make it look nice. Both of them were really happy with their new intakes and they gave their cars a nice sound. So far they haven't had any problems either.

Team Sol has great DIYs, here's the link, check it out. thanks for whoever originally post this topic up, the DIY seems great. Im making the intake right now, all materials are from Lowe's. The rubber gormmet is actually in the "Hard to Find Items" carbinet in Lowe's hardware department. Both Home Depot and Lowe's in my area dont carry any U bent pipe that has OD 2-1/2" so i had to order from J C Whitney....

Has anyone done this on a 98 civic lx? my problem is that my throttle body is straight up, not to the side. Im thinking i can just cut the piping differently, but im not sure it will fit. If it doesnt fit, do u guys think i can use some silicone tubing for the 90 degree bend? thanks
