On a 1991 Grand Prix with a 3.1 V-6. I need to replace it but the space is limited for me to work in. If anybody has any tips or advice at all on this and changing the 2 spark plugs closest to the steering column, I'd greatly appreciate it!! Thank you in advance! :sunglasse
Also: If anyone knows where I can get a decent replacement column for the same car, I'd be thankful for that as well!! :)

Ive never had a chance to look at the 3.1/3.4 GP's but if I remember correctly there is a single motormount (dogbone) right??
If there is you can try what us 3.8 guys do. Undo the dogbone, put the car in Nuetral push car forward and when the motor has rocked as far forward as posible lock the parking/ebrake.
It might take a few pushes to rock the motor as far forward as possible.

Ok, there is a hook you can use to pull the engine forward. You place it in place of the dog bone. The with an 18mm ratchet pull the engine forward. You can get this hook at pep boys or westernauto or whatever you got like that close by.
