BCMs & PCMs

Have a '94 Red Intrepid (6-cyc auto). I had a problem with the car going into overdrive and with the gauges, when cold. I had it analyzed on a scope and was told that my BCM was at fault. So I ordered a used one, via a local junk yard. Well, apparently, unknown to me, the used one I received had an anti-theft device (I was never asked the question by the counter person). Apparently, according to the dealer service people, the used BCM locked up my PCM, in anti-theft mode and can't be unlocked. Unfortunately, before I had it towed to the dealer, I tried using the original BCM again, but that is now affected by the locked up PCM. Does anyone know of a way to reprogram the PCM & BCM, or can a used matching set be found? I'd appreciate the help, because I'm looking at a repair cost that's close to what the car's worth (note: the car's in good shape and I ;d hate to have to scrap it due to electronic parts).

Yup, alot of people on di.net had the same problem when installing OTIS' in their cars, and when buying a VTSS equipted BCM, it messed up their PCM, and yes it cant be changed back, causing the PCM to look for the de-arm signal forever. There is a way of doing it, but you'll have to talk to the rest of the guys at di.net. There is a recent thread bout it, and a meber knows how to dis-arm it, but seeing that know one will really know you on their, i doubt they will give it out. (we dont want a bunch of treps stolen) sorry dude, but ya know, lots of weirdos out there. Otherwise, you'll ahve to order a new PCM from the dealer, which does cost some green. Or you could just instal the rest of the VTSS stuff in, and have an alarm in your car. lol good luck man.
