Canadian Pride.

Finally a joke that explains what it's like to be Canadian...if it's a repost, then sue me. :biggrin:


Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God went missing for six
days.

Eventually, Michael the archangel found him, resting on the seventh
day.

He inquired of God, "Where have you been?" God sighed a deep sigh of
satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds.

"Look Michael, look what I've made."

Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, "What is it?"
"It's a planet," replied God, "and I've put LIFE on it. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a place of great balance."

"Balance?" inquired Michael, still confused. God explained, pointing to different parts of Earth, "For example, Northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth while Southern Europe is going to be poor; the Middle East over there will be a hot spot. Over there I've placed a continent of white people and over there is a continent of black people,"

God continued, pointing to different countries. "This one will be extremely hot and arid while this one will be very cold and covered in ice."

The Archangel, impressed by Gods work, then pointed to a large
landmass in the top corner and asked, "What's that one?" "Ah," said God. "That's Canada, the most glorious place on Earth. There are beautiful mountains, lakes, rivers, streams and an exquisite coastline. The people from Canada are going to be modest, intelligent and humorous and they're going to be found travelling the world. They'll be extremely sociable, hard working and high achieving, and they will be known throughout the world as diplomats and carriers of peace. I'm also going to give them super-human, undefeatable ice hockey players who will be admired and feared by all who come across them."

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration but then proclaimed; "What
about balance, God? You said there will be BALANCE!"

God replied wisely. "Wait until you see the loud-mouth bastards I'm putting next to them...."

I had no idea Canadians thought this way about Greenland.

I think God was talking to Michael, telling him that the americans had loud mouth prideful arrogant people postioned directly above them, in other words the canadians, which is why it balances out canadians. Which turns this joke into philosphy, there is nothing in the world that is truely balanced out when it comes to humans so therefore this joke is irrelavant.

Does Canada still have hockey teams in the NHL? I thought they were all moving to the US! You even lost a hockey team to Phoenix!!! You know, that desert city with an average temperature over 100 degrees. Now that's what I call funny. :lol2:

Yeah no matter how many other teams do end up in the states there will always be 2 that no matter how hard they try will never end up there and I also don't think even our government would let it happen since they are such a part of Canadian culture.

Don't forget Edmonton either. Too much history in that team to lose them to the US. It would be like the Yankees moving out of NY. I actually don't like the fact that Canada is losing its teams. It's a nice little rivalry between Canada and US (except when you fuckers boo our national anthem). Anyways, GO KINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeh i have to agree with you there blindside. That was really bad when canadians booed your national anthem. And yeh if the Canadian teams left and went somewhere else, hockey just wouldnt be the same.

It was really sucessful so I can't really see why they wouldn't go ahead and try it again just can't be doing that in Florida or San Jose or ha basically anywhere where the border to Canada isn't near.

I just read a rumor that the wings might (might) play in Michigan stadium. They could seat 112,000 people + in there. That would be incredible if they did that.

They could fill the stadium too. Michigan played Michigan State in a outdoor hockey game in Lansing and there were over 50,000 people for that.

Thats where hockey should be played - outside in the freezing cold :naughty:

I actually like canada, I have a good friend who is canadian. It's just fun to harass canadians. I will leave it alone though
