uhhh, dude wtf where are you getting the awd system for your rex, and you do know you will need the engine that will work w/ the awd trannie you decide to get. for example, from a 4g wagovan, you would have to stay w/ a d seriese engine; from a crv, b series engines.
and dude seriously no matter what you put in your civic it's going to be unique why the heck are you going out of your way, just get something that does what you want, and seccond why are you so worried about having some thing that unique.

I know it sounds like bs, but I think I can do it.I've seen it done before but with a b18 motor.It will be much more difficult, but hey I've got two+
years to mess around with this car.The AWD is a safety feature.I have seen guys crash b/c they could not stop in time.The AWD is there for others and my protection.Plus with the engine I'll end up putting in,
hopefully one of the ones at the beginning,I will need to distribute the torque evenly in order to not spin my wheels.(or so I've heard)

Why would AWD have something to do with braking better? Get bigger brakes and you will brake better.

someone correct me if i'm wrong but those engines are very different from b18s, seccond of all awd helps bad drivers all you need is to become a better driver, if you rely on awd then in my openion you shouldn't be making your car race capable.

personally i think avoiding a crash is all in knowing the limits of your car, i used to know the limits of my car and went 2 years w/out wrecks (cept when i tried to seccond guess other drivers) if i don't seccond guess other drivers i would have gotten in almost no wrecks. cept the one i have posted in my gallery cause i was trying to push my car while i wasn't paying attention, which will still happen even if you have awd.

do research on left foot breaking technique, i've got into too much trouble trying to learn on the streets, don't practice unless your on the track. :smokin:

uhhh, dude do some more research, and remember a civic is not the same as any other car.
if you want a fast civic get an h22 and kiss all streetability goodbye, your only gonna have a racing machine that is so fucking front heavy it will give you a whole new definition of understeering, but from the sound of it, that's what you want. your definately going to have one hot civic bud. :naughty:

My knowledge of Nissans is sketchy at best, but it is a Nissan motor. I know it came in the JDM Silvia. I don't know what other model's it came in. The most insane thing about that swap is that the guy had to make the Civic rwd. Here's a side pic:

Unfortunately no, I don't have any pics of the interior... Those are the only two pics I have of the car. If I remember right I found 'em on H-T... It was quite a while ago though...

DONT EVEN TRY THAT K20 swap!!

I had a deal on it and i got it out of a wrecked rsx. I had every componet. Well anyway over the thanksgiving weekend i was really bored. So i thought what the hell. I has eveything i needed and i didnt want to wait for haspots kit to come out next year.

Okay well anyway getting to my story. So me and my friend borrowed a service manual. for and rsx and were getting ready to put it in. Well it was no problem getting it in the car and welding it in. The problem was the fact that the engine spins the oppisite way. Plus the wiring was a B***h so we gave up at the end of the day. It is way too much work. My friend has a 4th gen hatch with an h22 and he claimed to me that getting it in was harder than his h22 swap itself.

Its not really worth it despite all of its advantages. Oh well im probaly going to sell the engine and part out whats left of the car.

Ive said its good to be unique, but putting a k20 into a 4th gen is like swapping an s200 engine into one.

Hope this helps. Just go with any b-series they all got their good points plus they are cheaper!!!!!

yeah im just going to keep the engine. I got it at a good price. And just wait till later for the kit and wireing harnesses. Its those people who flame you when you propose an idea that hasent been tried. I had a post about the k20 and i got flamed so much i was so pissed during the whole install. Thats probaly why i couldnt get it to work cause i was so pissed that someone could uhhhh. never mind! i walked outta high school with a graduating average of 72% and a mint condition CRX. I love my car to death and at bone stock it looks incredibly sweet but I'm narrowly going to be able to take what I want in University this up coming school year. cars are sweet but they are no reason to get bad grades and i wish i knew that when i was 14

There are many different forms of this engine just as there are many different D15's and D16's etc.

*Also, the SR20 is not always a RWD engine. It was made as a FWD engine as well.

i wasn't picking on you speed, just suggesting some avatars, if you have a shitload of money i'de say go w/ crvtec swap, it's freaking awesome strongest thing i've seen in a 4g plus you need to swap the gsr head onto a crv engine, it's not ordinary by any means. another option is just to create a frankenstine engine, mix and match to make your monster.

oh and the "oh my god boobs" i just thought that looked silly w/ just speed's face and no stearing wheel, so decided to make fun of it. i'm just messing around.
