Progress: Turbo 'GSR'

After getting pissed off at my prelude and challenger, i turned on my pretty little complete 'GSR' (GSR because type r's are only black, yellow or white). It looked nice as is, but if it were real life it would be horribly slow. I just put it all back together Friday night (tore it down about a couple months ago planning on ordering a resin turbo kit); needles to say; never ordered it, never rebuilt it. I finally rebuilt it, now im tearing it down again.

Update: moved turbo so exhaust pipe could fit, exhaust pipe made.

Mike, you fixed the turbo mistake, howabout doing the turbo and mani in chrome?

yuck the motor looks like it has glue all over it.

Yeah. There is. And, um, it will get covered by a little invention called paint. Yeah.

very cool so far. what else you have in mind for it?

mike, what glue do you use for your lenses? mine always come out frosted.

for this one i just used standard glue, but most of the time i use elmers. I plan to keep the exterior mostly stock (besides whats already there)

god damn it. RMR is down, so now i have to load up my pics 1 by 1 on CD.

update: installed a tach with an LCD monitor and NOS. For some reason my tamiya semi gloss black came out glossy and flat.

Detailed everything, added BOV and wastegate (fixed) Nology wires, chrome top (swapped) and detailed everything else.

Once again ive found my self ripping it apart. I've tossed the tired old turbo (Tamiya stock 300zx turbo) for a chrome turbo and chrome intake out of the FNF Supra (converted to single turbo)

I'm really digging the engine bay. Looks really good. Looks way better than just having the stock one.
