1988 ford ranger fuel pumps will not run

Can someone please help? I have a 1988 ford ranger 2.3 FI and the fuel pumps will not run so truck will not crank tested fuel pump on frame by hooking 12 volts too it and it runs fine the one in the tank wasnt even plugged up when I bought it and fuel gauge wasnt working so I done some research and found that the plug on the top of the tank was unplugged, I plugged it up and fuel gauge works and truck ran great for 2 days and will not crank back, I figured maybe the relay so I switched relays out on the inner fender behind battery around but didnt help. Can someone help me here and also let me know which relay is the fuel pump relay?

The fuel pump relay is the green one the black one is for the eec.
