01 slower than 99 5.3?

seems to me my 99 5.3 extended cab 4x4 was a lot more peppier than my 01 and my 99 had 55,000 miles my 01 has only 37,000 what gives I have no mods done except for a K&N filter wich I had on my 99 it just seems slower, especially off the line my 99 would jump off the line and spin the tires no problem my 01 just seems like a dog what gives any thing differnt between these years any thing to check? :eek7:

Does it have a different tire size from your old truck? Or maybe a different gearing? Or different Transmission? All 3 of these things will change your gearing and quickness of your truck.
