I've got a '98 Gran Prix and I'm wanting to do an engine swap. Anyone know if a RB20,25,26DET(T) engine could fit in my car without any major problems (having to extend the hood or something like that). For the people that don't know what that is, a RB20,25,26DET(T) are engines from R32, R33, and R34 Nissan Skylines. I got the idea from my brother. He just installed a R33 RB25DET engine in his 96 Nissan 240sx.
Please respond.

OK, the skyline is a lighter car. It might have the horsepower but does it have the right torque to move a heavier body? If you want that engine why don't you get a skyline? I have heard people installing on small japs bodies V8's and stuff like that to make them faster no the other way around.
It is not correct(for my psicky's) mix stuff like that. The safer you can go is replacing GM with GM stuff, Nissan with Nissan (The 240 engine replacement seem only natural to get better performance from the sucker). If you want to modify your car why not try installing a Supercharger with related hardware(a.k.a PCM, belts and everything).
If you do that you can install a modified PCM to get more power from you actual engine without many modification as installing the skyline's engine on your pontiac. And you might even kick some skyline ass.
I have kicked Porsche ass on my GTP.
Please i beg you do not do it. Install american on the american.

No...not without some MAJOR work..both electrical and mechanical.
Put a whipplecharged motor in if you want more speed. Or build a turbo'd 3800 setup.
