ok i have a 1979 el camino and its got body rot by the rear wheel well by the muffler and i plan to cut out that rusted area and cut out a peice of sheet metal and mold it to orignal shape and tack weld it in but probem is i dont have a welder, i do have a sotering gun and some solder that is lead free can i use that to tack it in please help

I'm no body man, but soldering your body doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Solder wont hold very well in your application. Get someone to weld it.

You can buy a wirefeed (flux core) welder for about $150 that would do the job.

i saw some stuff they were using to repair boat holes and small holes in metal and stuff it was called uhhh amuma something i dunno but it comes in like a stick and u have a propane blow torch and u heat up the metal and then u like weld the 2 together by rubbing the stick between the 2 peices of metal u want to connect and it is suppost be stronger than alumium will that work?

All I know is that body shops use welders. You would think that if there was an easier, cheaper way, they would use that. But for all I know it could, if you decide to go ahead be sure to tell us your results. I would love to know if it works.
