My girlfriends car is a 1989 pontiac sunfire, fuel injected...
I own an oldmobile and know it inside out pretty much but I am lost when it comes to newer cars especially feul injected models....so i need some help...
she said she was driving one day and it just died on her....since then a new starter, new battery, new alternator have been put into it but it has not been able to start since....When You turn the key the engines turns over and sound healthy, lights come on normally....but will not start up....service engine soon dummy light appears on the control panel...
What tests can I perform to determine exactly what the problem is...or does anyone know what it could be?
Thanks,
KEvin

I have a 2000 sunfire. It died on me while driving it too. I brought it in and they said it was the fuel pump. It seems to be driving fine now. Hope this helps...

i am having the same problem. i think pontiac has programed the chip so that when you about have your car paid off, this problem occurs. there should be better troubleshooting on cars so women wont continue to get screwed over by mechanics all the time. If anyone can help, i would greatly appreciate it.

mechanics try and screw everyone, not just women, even college students with no money
