Hiya folks. New guy here from lancerforums.com and I thought I'd herald my presence here to. I'm 17, from California, going to SJSU and yes, I have an '02 Lancer ES. Why? Because of what everyone else has said: it ain't no Civic and it's my humble opinion that it has more refined looks over any other compact sedans. OK? That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

i too purchased an ES. for the reason that there was now engine upgrade available. I have put a ractive catback system, momo raptor cabon fibre knob, silver graphics on both sides, one black light in front grill, k&n air filter( removed the factory air box), 17x7 eagle alloys, kumho supra 712 205-40, xenon crystal blue headlights. I plan on putting the factory ram air back on and getting a heat shield. running the ram air hose to the k&n air filter protected by the heat shield. i also plan to purchase the evo vll hood after tax returns.h ha ha ha love uncle sam. i also want the evo vll spoiler; however, i am probably going to go with the jsp wing that looks almost identical to the evo vll's wing. i want to lower it (neuspeed) but i am not sure if i can from my choice of wheels.

Damn...this is what i get? Wow...Look, I may be 17 but I'm taking my 18 units per semester and working to pay for this car. Everything is coming out of my own pocket sans insurance so don't give me shit.

Crap crap crap. It's not a matter of turning my Lancer into an Evolution. It's a matter of self-expression. One's car is a very visible external symbol of themselves. Mine's blue. Why? Blue's my favorite color. The accessories I have/will have are going to be yellow why? Because yellow and blue go together well. Of course I'm planning to make my car faster by adding performance parts(Injen RD intake if they put it out in early 2002 like their email said), and other nifty things when they come out. I'm not planning to kill anyone else's car, I just want mine to be about "Me". Take it or leave it. Now off to study. Finals.

Why is everyone tripping? have you seen those pictures i posted from the SEMA auto show? they are fixed up with added performance.. is that people who are ricers? and any car i mean any car. like civics or supras people fix it up..

it doesnt mean to only turn it into a LANCER EVO.. my gosh...

what do you call a person that fixes up a mustang or an domestic car such as a cavalier or a focus?

PEOPLE ADDED a 4G63 into a MIRAGE and eclipses have it stock, not just a lancer evo.

Who cares if his mom and dad bought the car for him? At least he's payin for the insurance.....some people don't even do that.

I hate people that discriminate just because someone's young. ESPECIALLY you....you're only 20 yerself there big boy. I'm 20.....I walk into some dealers, and they look at me like a joke. But they don't seem to understand that I've got bling and the credit report of a 40 year-old buisnessman....not 'cause my parents are rich, but because I work my ass off 40 hours a week, go to school full-time, and am the program director of a radio station.

You wanna know when I judge if I'm going to buy a car from a dealer? In the first 10 seconds that I'm there. If the person says "Hi" to me...chances are, I'm sold. I bought a Saturn with a LOT less hp than a Sentra.....why? because Saturn didn't treat me like a 13-year old.

AND your're in sales...what kind of crack are you on? .:bloated: I sell cell phones....the absolute first lesson I taught myself was to not discriminate....Why? because the first phone I sold was a $400 Verizon phone....and I sold it to a 21 year-old college student.

If I ever walk into your dealership....I garauntee it won't be to buy a car....it'll be to show the new Evo VII that I bought with my own $$$ at the mitsubishi dealership the next town over. :devil:

edit: P.S.- Why is it wrong to think you're the **** if you drive a Lancer....the dood likes his car.....what's wrong with that? You drive a Mirage...I'm sure you drive around acting like you're the ****, every guy from age 16-50 drives as though their master of the world. Does this mean that I have to drive a Mclaren to act like I'm the ****?

u guys are all trippin balls except hooby, i have no clue why would u think that his age would matter all, its about either how he drives it if hes trying to race or how it looks to him. I wouldnt bag on anybodys car just because they are yound and even if they dont pay for the car or insurance, it shouldnt matter at all. Im young but i bet i know more about engines than the hot shot kid that pulls next to me in his civic. but its ok because maybe he likes his car and he wants me to know that hes proud of what he made... even if it is riced out.

And the fact that he is young should worry most of you, he will become your age some day and know more about cars and how to race them than any of you.

until then if anyone has any modifications for the lancer.... post them in this site so everyone can see the site. i have one that some of you know of.

what is at rmr>>>???? and if its your car where do i go to see it. o yea update my dealer is a cock sucker and said he wont get any of the things from rmr for me. does any one know how to get stuff without the dealer. i want the damn heatshield i already have the filter on but i lost hp in 5th its pissing me off. i need the heat shield so i can put the ram air back on.

rmr has the some dope stuff, if u go there, my car is the yellow car when you first open the site at rmrproducts.com, your dealer has to put it on if they have the tools to do, but you can probably do it yourself. Email rmr and ask them what the deal is if the dealer wont put it on and see if you can get it shipped to you.
