Well, that's a cool way to annoy people behind you! :hehehe:
Think of it like another "foglight" install. It depends where/how you mount the lens + bulb. (It's hard to tell where it's installed in those pix. You definitely need a switch and/or relay, some wires and a fuse (need to determine the amp rating) and some creativity.

where would be a good place to install it that will look good? think its possible to stuff it in the licence plate light area and angle it so it shines straight back?

well you're going to blind someon, they're gonna crash, and die, but oh well. What you can do is take out the lights for the license plate and replace them without whatever those are. :)

i don't want to kill anyone, but if i have to deal with a tailgater, or impress someone i just raced with my elite blinding skills, i want to be able to have the power to blind on command. ;) i'm not in my right mind tonight... but i don't want to have it on all the time. so i want to keep my current licence plate light. So in actuality, i'd turn it on and off when i please. and it'd be really bright, and you wouldn't see the bulb during the day. it'd be tucked away somewhere. i once saw an eclipse with a flip down rear licence plate with like 10 highbeam bulbs. but i don't have the craftsman-like abilitys to create that.

Or... you could stick 1 bulb in each of your tails... The reverse light section comes to mind...

Okay since im tha only other person here who actually has done some research.. apparently its kinda tha new thing in japan... as it seams they are HID lights-- like tha flat Piaa ones - like about 12 of them-- then they have a lil motor that retracts tha plate out & back... Its pretty damn phat- if u ask me! Yo u live in CT where?

Why the heck would you want to spend upwards to $600 for rear HIDs??? Not only that, it's still illegal.

$600? why so much? can't i get just, like some really bright bulbs? i just want the plate thing that motorizes down to reveal lights! :)

Oh the whole custom motor work will probably cost you a few hundred more. And you're not gonna be able to find bulbs as bright as HID's. That's why they're called High Intensity Discharge lamps. :flash:

well Gusto222 said it was popular in japan.. so they must sell kits or something of the like... a few high beam bulbs will work fine.. i dont want actual blinding of the person behind me.... just an inability to see while its on pointing at them...

Actually yeah, H3's or H4's should work for this situation but a word pf warning. When a cop is following for suspicious activity, the normal routine is to tailgate you to make sure you don't get away from them. When they do this, it doesn't neccesarily mean that they're gonna pull you over, but if you shine a couple of H3's in his face, he most definitly will get pissed.

hmm....i don't know that's like mine, but i went to a stereo shop and have them hook up a switch on the dash, and they hook the wire to my reverse lights. and whenever i hit the switch , the reverse lights will come on. you can get them white light bulbs for your reverse lights and you can flash the car behind you without blinding them.~~:)

and it only cost me like 30 bucks....

there is no need for 600 dollar hid shit........unless you are bill gates.

well... i want a lot more blinding than just reverse lights... but not no $600, i dont plan to shine on cops either... unless i have some extra money ;) j/k
