Fuzzy uploads

Can anyone tell me why my uploaded pics appear fuzzy in the gallery and in the threads I reply to? The pics are in sharp focus when viewed on my computer and are less than 80 kb, but in the AF gallery they are fuzzy. I looked in the FAQ thread and the 'look here first' thread and couldn't find an answer.

What method are you using to downsize your photos or compress them?

Dis you use progressive encoding when you saved the pictures as JPEGs? Perhaps they are not uploading fully to AF or conversely not downloading properly.

Just checked your gallery out and the pics look pretty good to me. The 956s and CLK are brilliant!!!

I 'm not sure what method is being used to downsize the pics. I dont think all of them have been downsized, most are the original scanned size. I know AOL compresses files for transmitting, but I know nothing more about that. The pics are definitely fuzzier than the original images I see on my computer. I'll investigate this progressive encoding thing. Thanks.
