my damn cousin...

ok, me and my cousin got our cars about the same time....

i got my auto gold s14, he got a ek civic hatch 5speed.

now we've been competing since we got our cars, but normally, no matter what mods he had (5zigen header, cai, exhaust, springs) he couldnt catch up to me whenever we roadrace....

but last night he showed up at my crib with a massive front mount intercooler. oh man.....he took me for a ride and shocked the hell outta me...the lag was kinda long but it boosted well....

now im aching for a turbo setup to match...but here comes the kicker......my engine blew..... :disappoin :disappoin :disappoin

so im broke from buying my lsd and all i have is $250-ish (give or take a big mac) and need a new engine....im contemplating over an sr or a ka. the reason i dont want the sr is because ita alotta $$ and i dont wanna borrow money from my parents...im heading to the junkyard and all my places tonight to go ka hunting.....

sorry guys im just venting......i need a turbo soon....i know i keep saying that i want all my suspension, chassis work done first...but this means war......

How'd you blow your engine?

the last owner of this s14 didnt take care of the engine (oil changes)...i lifted the valve cover and it was all cakey. i removed most of it off with a bush then i ran the car with a mix of oil+cleaner+transmission fluid. it ran kinda fine besides the backfiring (fixed by a basic tune-up)...well i ran it for a while and during a session it just blew....

btw i found a ka24de engine+tranny set with 38k miles on it :iceslolan
$600...most likely im gonna drop that in...

Dayna I saw this awesome Rx8 today. They have it all tuned up with some bling bling wheels probably 18's lol. That thing sounds like a beast, I'll try to get some more info, its one rx8 I wouldn't want to mess with hehe.

go for an sr i guess. most dont come with an intercooler so you'll probaly have to get a big one anyway, boost it up.
