Personally, I use Automotive Spray Paints for the bodyshell, and Tamiya Acryllics for the rest of the model.

I have used Enamels (mainly Humbrol) in the past, but I don't like the residual smell (I don't normally notice the smell of the paint whilst I'm applying it as I use a respirator designed to filter out at organic levels), or the lengthy cleaning process required when changing colours in my airbrush.

Then again, I don't like the long drying times, either.

PAH! *I HATE ENAMELS*

(There. I just decided, right now!)

...But it *IS* a matter of choice, after all ;)

The ease of clean-up with acrylics make them like gold in my book. :) A usually use Tamiya sparys for body colors, but I may try a bit of automotive paint one of these days... :flash:

I started off useing acrylics but i'm now in the process of changing all of them to enamels.
The reason being is that i think the acrylics dry to fast when painting and if your doing a large part by brush you tend to start pulling the paint back off if you try and go back over it after a few minutes. With the enamels you get a longer drying time and can go bach and repaint before the paint starts to *go off*
