6. Does your son use Quake?
Quake is an online virtual reality used by hackers. It is a popular meeting place and training ground, where they discuss hacking and train in the use of various firearms. Many hackers develop anti-social tendencies due to the use of this virtual world, and it may cause erratic behaviour at home and at school.
If your son is using Quake, you should make hime understand that this is not acceptable to you. You should ensure all the firearms in your house are carefully locked away, and have trigger locks installed. You should also bring your concerns to the attention of his school.
LOL!!!!
bwahahahahahahahaha :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

.......okay....is that "artical" for real?....i mean is it a joke or something. If it is then its very funny, but if not then that guy has some serious problems. Spanking his teenage son , 17 old daughter with MAKE UP on (heaven forbide) sneaking out of house, and girl hackers....a myth...man oh man, that guy is just asking for it...besides the fact about his 10 things to look for in a hacker....what a hoot!!!!!!!! :)

No, and Yes. The author is poking fun at the ignorant minds out there. :smoka:

That is the most fucking ridiculous article i have EVER read in my life, i seriously want to go berserk just reading it....Yes I have "Lunix", wtf, Linyos Torovoltos???? Jesus christ, the guy was/is a fucking GENIUS!!!! He created the first linux kernal FOR A COLLEGE PROJECT!! Whoever wrote that, i hope it was seriously a joke, b/c id like to crack whoever it was over the head who wrote that, honestly......"If your son spends more than thirty minutes each day on the computer, he may be using it to DOS other peoples sites. DOSing involves gaining access to the "command prompt" on other people's machines, and using it to tie up vital internet services. This can take up to eight hours" - THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MS-DOS, Microsoft Disk Operating System, jesus! its DoS, Denial of Service, which is basically someone sending bits of packets in tremendous amounts to other computers (in lame talk). and im not even going to get started on fucking "Quake" lmao, i really hope this is all a big big joke.

Oh my dear god..... Please tell me this is a joke, please tell me this is a friggin joke. It makes me weep to think that there is an individual so missinformed and narrow minded living in this world today. In fact, I think I'm going shove the pretzel stick I'm eating into my nose in hopes that I can puncture some vital area of my brain and kill myself. Or atleast make myself go brain dead so I don't have to post a responce in that place.....

This article is so full of shit it's not even funny. Just goes to show what kind of crap anyone can 'publish' on the net. Too bad AOL didn't have a bullshit filter along side it's porn filters.
BTW the proper term is 'cracker (http://codeflux.com/dict/?query=cracker&exact=1)' for someone who breaks into other computers, not hacker (http://codeflux.com/dict/?query=hacker&exact=1)
Since when did Linux become the rogue OS. I hope the MS/AOL gestapo doesn't come knocking at my door tonight. One OS to bind them, one OS to rule them all!

I have seen this artical before. I heard it was a hoax, if it weren't the author would have to be drug out in the street and have a burnout done on his face and shot.
I consider myself a hacker, not a cracker, there is a difference. The bad ones are crackers. Everyone gets it wrong, damn media bastardized the term hacker.

I did some poking around on the site and that article had to be a joke. If you read around on the people who publish the site it talks about their editor who is either working, or out catching waves and hallucinating. So, thank god, I think it was a great work of satire:D

I love the responses (there & here)...
Anyone else note that the "story" was under the category of "Internet Idiocy"?
