Did the Loctite team ever run a skyline? There is a Loctite GTR on GT3 A-spec, but from the JGTC site I see that Loctite is running a NSX....

Cool cool, thats good to hear, the Loctite GTR in GT3 is mucho fast. Not as fast as my 1014 HP R34 though :p it just blows by everything.

How has the real Loctite GTR done in the past?

NSX

hm...s-2000 is really hard to extract extra power...maybe its that + the fact that there's no sponsors willing...besides mugen:D

I dont really agree about extracting the power, besides it can beat the Silvias which also use | Naturaly Aspirated | 2 litre | 4 cilinder | ;)

I am positive they would keep up with silvias especialy those MR-S things!!!

for an example of extracting power from the S-2000 is the S-2000 GT1 I'll have the stats for you later OK :)

The Silvia's use the SR20DET motor and run in the GT300 class. The motor is turbo charged and is factory on the S14 and S15 models. they are producing just on 300 bhp according to the rules of that class.

NSX

hmm...i guess its possible, im just saying that the team who sponsors and modifies the s2k better know their stuff

Honda already tuned alot from the 2.0L to produce 120hp/L

WHOW!

Did not know Silvias use turbos...

thats so great, thankyou for clearing that up for me.

But still I liek Honda...The supperior driving machene!

They have an F1 car and Nissan does not, I belive.

So I think that Hondas, Mercedes Benz/McLaren, Ferrari, and BMW are most knowledged about N/A cars.

well...Nissan has an IRL car under the badging of Infiniti...Honda first had Indy cars as well at first and moved to F1

but you're right, Nissan has no F1 car right now

I have not heard of them wanting to compete in F1 either. I know they concentrated on Lamans with the R390 for a few years but have not been able to follow since 98. I wonder if they are even in the 24 hr race anymore.

I don't know Nissan is doing REALY bad right now, their just not selling enough cars, unlike the Honda Accord, Toyota Corola and Mazda Protoge, which a common consumer would be more likely to buy.

A Mazda fan myself, i cant wait til their ATENZA goes to production (looks like Lexus 300is [Altezza]) see it here[URL=http://www.mazda.co.jp/motorshow/english/concept/atenza/index.html] And the new RX-8

NSX

mazdas are alright

i think they should make a 3.0L version of the rx8
that'll kick a$$ for sure

i think nissan should cleean up their act and well.. make an F1 and clean up the ugly Skyline r35.. i dont kno.. what u ppl think if nissan made an F1 car.. id think it would do pretty well

Nissan could not enter F1 as they are owned by Renault, who have recently made a high-profile re-entry into F1 with Benetton after an absence of 3-4 years. it would not be possible for Renault to have the finances to fund it's own F1 program, and fund Nissan's as well. Nissan ran at Le Mans with the R390 GT1 in 1997-1998, and then in 1999 ran an open top LMP in a partnership with the Courage team if i remember correctly, but it was unsucessful and Nissan haven't done any high-profile road-racing outside of the JGTC since to my knowledge...

did anyone see the Formula 1 out-accelerate the F/A-18 jet?
in quater mile

It was:confused: :( :bloated: :eek2: :buck

I didn't know F-1 goes that fast

i heard 0-100 in 6.8 seconds?

i wonder if that one had gear setup and no downforce!

better yet the Team Williams F1:D

I saw that video. Absolutly amazing. you think the jet is creeping ahead until they show the side view and the F1 car is still ahead. Then the nice burnout at the end.:smoker:

I never found the stats for S-2000 GT1 but I know it is in GT2, and it handles good with a setup.

I now realise it is NOT a Formula One car, but an INDY car, they realy should use F-1 and a jet with afterburners like MiG-29 ;)

I'd just like to comment about the s2k not being able to make much more power.

Its not even turbo charged and the factory pistons are forged. Not much more power? Ive seen 9psi of boost (properly cooled) supply the roadster with enough air to put 345hp on the ground. And its not like 9psi of boost is any kind of strain on the turbo...

Can you imagine that motors output at 20+ psi? With the right internals, that would be incredible thrust.

The way I figure it, (the boost raising the VE over 200%) it would be anywhere from 560-600hp :) That would be nice to see.

Anyways, back to the subject (even though this is kinda old) the Loctite GT-R was NOT run by the same team as the Loctite NSX which was raced by Dome-Mugen, the GT-R was on Team Nismo, team car with the Xanavi Skyline, but the team seems to change sponsors every year, the (The same car- Kure to Zexel to Pennzoil to Loctite to Pennzoil again, than it's current scheme) The Zexel Skyline was not overly successful, it was one the year the Skyline got on the downfall, the car broke a two-year Champinoship winning streak for the team. So, basically the Pennzoil-Zexel Skyline and the Loctite were the same car with a different paint scheme in opposing years...the team is back on the rise again this year with the new GT-R powerplant, leading the championship with a few rounds to go.
