This is a common problem, believe it or not. There is a torsion bar mount on either side of the truck at about mid door on the frame and when one of these lets go it sounds like your front end is ready to fall off when going around corners. These are relatively cheap to replace and not at all to do .I have a 91 with 280km and have replaced them twice (this truck is not lady driven).Hope this helps.

Thanks T.When you say the mount is on the frame ,do you mean the part of the frame that crosses under the (or close to)the seat? Also are these available at the parts stores or only at the dealer? Thanks Jeff

Assuming this is a 4X4 then these mounts are located at the ends of the torsion bar at the ends of the torsion bar crossmember which runs from rail to rail .Put a jack under the bar and pump it up slowly if the mount is gone ( the rubber has let go ) then the crossmember should lift up an 1 1/2" or so.These are easy to do yourself or about an hour labour at the shop. You should get them at your dealer, I don't know about aftermarket but you can try. ....T.Genders

I have a 94 Jimmy S15 and it was my torsion bar mounts I replaced both sides in about 1/2 hour if that. They were really cheap.
