where would i wire my radar detector to if i wanted it to turn on when the car turned on? could i put it to the wire that turns on my stereo when the car goes on?

doesn't your lighter socket turn on and off with the ignition? it does in most cars.

hhmm well as for removing the A pillar cover which if you are unsure is the peice of plastic that runs down the side of the windshield. To remove it simply start at the top pull it straight out do not force it work at it if it's being tough.
As for wiring it to the radio fuse i don't recommend this due to it being 10a or less. Sometimes radio's will pull high current at loud volumes and especially if it's aftermarket. Check the owners manual and find a fuse that is marked ignition or accessory it will be larger around 15-40a. As for tucking under the headliner some the edge will just pull down with the fingers and others you will need to use a flathead or panel tool to "help" it under.
