wiggley shifter

my shifter has been really wiggley and it almost seems like it is in nuetral when it really is in gear. how can i fix this and what is it caused by? thanks

you could check your bushings for you shifter, and stabalizer bars.....Friend had same problem..

anyone else got any ideas or is this exactly what it is. and where can i get new bushings and where do they go? i don't remember seeing any bushings around my short shifter when i installed it. thanks

if you didn't see any bushings then you have problems. They go in the center of the bottom of the shifter (the part that looks like an eye), around the bearing that you put the bolt through to hook upthe shift linkage.

The mounts go on the stabalizer rod - 1 at the bottom of shifter & the other located on the trans end - very simple to install - cheap - a must with short shifter

The bushings wear over time resulting in a sloppy shifter feel, with the poly bushings your shifter will be very tight. If you want it tighter(i dont recommend) you could use B&M solid aluminum mounts. I personally like ES over Prothane, its all the same shit.
