gto tt engine horsepower

what exactly is the gto tt engines horsepower.......im not buying this 280 crap....i want to no the horse power without the governer chip on it.....can someone plz tell me the amount of horsepower the gto tt engine carrys without the chip on it?

91-93 = 300hp
94-99 = 320hp
That is the factory rating at the crank. AWD sucks up some HP and Torque due to parasitic drag. In 94 all they did was up the boost a little from like 7lbs to 9lbs (Don't quote me on the numbers). Hope this helps!

it was 9psi up to 11 psi, and there was some other little stuff done also

what does the govener have to do with HP? i thought it just controlled speed... or rev limiting, so you dont blow up your engine...

not sure.....i heard the damn thing hold back your cars power and speed......and if thats the case...i would want it removed....can any one help us and give us some facts?

There is no governer on a VR4 (can't say for sure about the others, but I bet they don't). There is a rev limiter but no goerner. You will not have an issue with going as fast as the car can carry you.

Yea, I gata agree with Yogs. You guys gata get off the fact that the VR4 is "heavy". I mean, if you're going to say that, at least make the comment towards the Spyder VR4. :p
