I'm sure there is space, but the engine mounts are totally different and the engine is designed for a right side steering column while our cars are on the left....

Ooooo, that be a tough one. Remember the GTO has a transverse mounted V6, while the R33/34 is an inline six. I don't know if you have ever taken a look under the hood of the GTO, but the engine bay is cramped. I dought there would be room for the rb26dte without serious modification to the firewall. Not to mention the mounts, and new tranny. He is right about the steerin columb being on the left as well. It could be done with the right amount of time and money, but not very easily.

Nice idea...but one begs to question why? When you could make just as much power out of hte 6G72 motor as you could the skyline one (I forget the code)

6G72's and the skyline motors are arguably 2 of the strongest 6 cyl motors you can find. A guy in australia at the moment has one at 440kW, roughly 600HP.

There's no need for the swap..I'd invest that same amount of money into modding the motor you have and you'll get huge HP results
