You have a few options, but first let me show how the oil system is setup. The oil filter block, or housing, or adapater, or whatever the hell you want to call it, is bolted to the front of the motor, partially behind the tbelt cover. The filter does a 180 off it, towards the down pipe. There are 2 sensors already there. The rearward one is the factory guage sender. The forward one is the idiot light sender. You could replace either one of those, probably the light since by the time it comes on you are at zero psi anyway... ;) But thats your call. I kind of like having the light around anyway just in case. Either hole can be tapped for 1/8NPT fitting. The japanese version just has one more thread, if they use BSP standard as I suspect, which is 1/8th-28, while in america we use 1/8th-27. Anyway, it can be tapped. If you have never tapped for tapered pipe threads, let me know and I can write up a quick faq.
There are also 2 taps on the front side (front bumper side) of the filter housing, either above or below the idiot light sender, I forget which. One will already be your turbo oil feed tap. Both fittings are I BELIEVE close enough to use 3/8th NPT fitting. Supposedly thats what all the turb companys use for our SS oil line kits, and 3/8th to 4-AN elbow. If thats the case you'll just need an adapter to drop the 3/8th NTP down to a female 18/th NPT, which is what I'm assuming your oil temp guage sender is. It may be 1/4NPT as well. Just get the appropriate adapter. The 3/8th tap that you would be using is taking the temp before the filter. The one for the turbo feed is obviously after the filter.
If you want the temp of the oil after it has passed through the motor instead of from the oil pan/pickup, you can tap into the passenger side, front corner of the head, where the 1g gets its turbo oil feed from. Unfortunately I dont know off hand what size those threads are, but I know poeple have put 1/8th NPT pressure sensors there.
Good luck :)
