Hey, as some of you know, I've been working on a R31 GTS skyline 4dr. Coming laong quite nicely. Anyway, i picked out graphite metallic as a color for the car, but yesterday I painted my sub box for my car, and the black paint I used came out so well, I decided to use it on the skyline. However, after 1 week of the paint hardening, drying in the sun, I plan to mask off the car leaving the hood, trunk, maybe the mirrors showing and spray them with graphite metallic so when it's dry it might look like cf hood and trunk :evillol: . What do you all think?? Is it crazy??

IMHO it would look like a black car with a Metallic Graphite hood, but thats not a bad thing . It may look cool just not like CF as CF has a weave pattern to it

Well, Graphite is a light material right?? I could say it has a graphite hood and trunk. Kinda moving away from the cf direction, ya know?

Pencil lead in your regular writing type pencils is graphite, do you want to have a hood made of pencil lead?

Graphite composite on the other hand has a similar appearance to C/F composite and C/K composite.

okay, okay, all I did was ask a simple question. I think I'll just say it has a graphite composite hood and trunk then. That's funny, hood made of pencils. hehe.

It's crazy :iceslolan (j/k)

I think a grafite hood etc would look great. It makes a nice change from c/f :bigthumb:

yeah that's what I'm going to do, hopefully it'll get real damn hot for 2 days straight here and I can do some paint work, so cold now, the paint in primer bottle is froze.

Test that primer first, my guess is if it is frozen its bad.
Been damn cold here in Denver too!

I stuck the can under some running water that was smoking and quite hot for 5 minutes, shook the can well and it went on even easier than usual.
