not on a 4th generation (95-99) the pre cat are on the y pipe and would be removed. on a 5th gen they're on the headers, so on a 00+ it wouild pass. i had a 95 max with a y pipe and around here they don't emissions test so it didn't matter. i still have a budget fed spec y pipe unused if you want it lemme know.

I'm glad in live in a small town. No emmisions test here. Where in IL are you that you get tested? I live in Illinois and dont have to worry about it.

See.....i wasn't going to get one, but now that you say i can possibly pass with the car heated up i think i'll go ahead and get one.....I mean, shit i did just have emissions test a week ago. Thanks for the usefull info jeve.

are the budget exhaust pipes aluminized steel or stainless? and what kind of welds/bends are used?

they're all T-304 Stainless Steel, Mandrel Bent pipes
