just bought a 2000 A4q sport. It is fully stock but not sure where to start upgrading. I'm looking at exhaust systems. any suggestions. I found Borla exhaust reasonably priced, is it worth it?

Ok forget the exhaust for now..
Get yourself a GIAC or APR chip.

http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/audi/index.cfm - GIAC CHIP
http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/ecu_upgrade_a418t.html - APR CHIP

Those are nice pages for info and prices on the chips. Look on their website for a dealer near you, becuase if you can find a dealer than installation takes only about 15 minutes. About 50hps, and 50lb/ft of torque is yours :-)

I thought about it but I wasn't sure if I should chip it yet since i still have over a year of warranty, and need to get a 60000mi tune up. I thought freeing up the exhaust whould be a good start. is that what you did first?

For $150 you can get a module to switch back to Factory Stock when u bring your car in. But im not going to bother becuase they cant deny you service just becuase you have a chip. Even if your car breaks down they have to fix it unless they can prove in court that the chip caused the failure in the car.

For example if your power window power breaks, they have to fix it no matter what.
