Hello guys

I just bought a hasegawa jaguar xjsc cabriolet from a friend of mine in unfinished condition. Currently doing the sanding and priming, so what color to use in this car and I got to be very careful of the choice of color because it's a rare kit.

Is the new tamiya light pearl blue any good for the old jag xjsc? or mica red or mica blue...which one the best? he he a lot you guys said please no more red the last time I posted.

And I also bought from my friend the fujimi ferrari 288gto, italeri ferrari 250gt swb, italeri ferrari 250 california, fujimi merc evo 190, jaguar xjs12 coupe, hmmm it's a lot of project for this loooong holiday (it's a week of moslem holiday in my country).

If you want my opinion Jags look best in BRG or metallic burgundy, interior tan. Although I don't know why anybody would want my opinion... :)

I go for that! BRG with tan interior...is elegant... at least to me. :p

Real nice bunch of kits you've found, especially those Italeri Ferraris  Wish I got friends like yours :icon16:

Personally I wouldn't use too bright colors like the mica blue. Some subtle metallic color would suit the convertible. Use google's picture search to look for pics of XJS and you'll get loads of factory correct color combos and choose your favorite from there.

I think dark green (BRG) & tan would look nice on the older type coupe XJS.

Dark metallic colors suit the character of the car well.
I painted my XJ-S dark metallic teal and it came out very nice.
:p

Thanks for the color code, I think I'm going to stick with light pearl blue or dark metallic blue. And those italeri ferrari is in rough build condition so I have to restore them all.

I'm building the xjs coupe. I'm going to either paint it burghundy or royal blue. Ever seen "Speed Zone"? The winner of the 1979 Cannonball Run was a royal blue Jaguar XJS. I was thinking of making it the same car...?
